I am overworked. The retail world is so draining, and everyday that I am in that store, I feel like the mall atmosphere sucks the energy right out of you. 40 hours a week, 40 hours of my life put into work not related to what I really want to do. Sometimes I feel like it has been a waste of time, but at the same time, I feel obligated to be there, because of the responsibilites they have put on me. I am definitely not cut out for this type of work. I admire the people who work full-time retail management for living, being in a store all day with clothes you're tempted to buy, surrounded by people who will ignore you or will give you attitude constantly because you work in retail, all the paper work and organization and time that keeps a store running functionally is too much. I'm starting to run out of my patience slowly, but surely. Also, I just realized this is another post about work; I definitely need to get away from retail now. I think there's about two more weeks left of waiting for my exam results. Basically my decisions are really based on my results. If I pass, the job hunting begins. And, If I fail, retail management for another couple months...
Yesterday, while driving to work I notice two very 'weird' things on the road. 1 - a girl in a tan leather long coat (to the ground) and a bright green peasant skirt to the ground with her hair so long and down, I just couldn't stop staring that I got honked at because I was stalling the left turn light. 2 - A man playing his guitar sitting on top of his car in the Square One parking lot. He was also dressed in leather, leather pants. After living in Mississauga for most of my life, I just find this style err behaviours are just not of the norm, or should I say not an everyday thing seen in Mississauga.
I'm off to a dress fitting in about an hour for my Godsisters' wedding. Definitely something to look forward to :)
(Edit)
So, there was a change in plans for the day. Didnt end up going for the dress fitting so RED and I went to Scarborough Town Center instead... to eat at Jack Astors. Random, I know :)
